The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia recommends tourists resting in Egypt not to leave the resort areas and avoid places of mass demonstrations in connection with the new clashes between supporters of various political forces in Cairo, RIA Novosti reported.

"In these conditions, the recommendation of the Russian Foreign Ministry to Russian tourists and citizens staying in Egypt remains topical, to avoid places of social tension and mass demonstrations. The situation in the resort areas of the Red Sea remains calm, "the ministry's department and press commentary said.

Five people were killed and hundreds injured during the riots.
