Hotel swimming pool in Taba, Egypt

Egyptian authorities once again worried about the image of resorts in the country. This time, male massage therapists, who are increasingly accused by foreign tourists of sexual harassment, were brought under the distribution.

The matter was not limited to words alone: the government issued a decree according to which men no longer have the right to work in spa hotels. Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazu said that not only the offender will be punished, but also the hotel administration who accepted him to work.

From now on, spa salons will be regularly checked. In the event that a male masseur is found at the workplace, the health center's work will be temporarily suspended. The second violation will result in the deprivation of the license and reduction of the rating of the hotel.

Recall that in recent times complaints from tourists to harassment from the staff of Egyptian hotels have increased. And in August 2011, a Russian woman was brutally raped by a hotel locksmith in her room - a case occurred in one of the five-star hotels in Hurghada
