According to the Egyptian government, the rules for issuing entry visas will be changed from next week. Changes will affect citizens who are in Egypt from the US, Australia, Europe, the Persian Gulf, Latin America and Asia. Now vacationers from these regions will not be able to obtain a visa upon arrival in the country. Those wishing to visit Egypt, will have to apply directly to the embassy of Egypt. However, this decision by the government does not apply to tourists who travel in groups, this applies only to individual tourists.
The application says that the new rules for obtaining entry visas will begin to operate from next week, but the exact date of their entry into force is not specified.
Executive Director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) Maya Lomidze referring to the Egyptian authorities commented on the situation to the portal "Interfax-Tourism", and noted that no changes in the visa relationship between Russia and the Eg ptom not planned. She confirmed that the cabinet of ministers of the country really considered the issue of tightening the rules for issuing visas to foreign tourists, but Russian tourists will not be affected.
