The 16 Dominican Republic hotels were selected for the prestigious "The Caribbean Gold Coast" award. The rating of hotels was carried out from June 2009 to June 2010 for such parameters as location, service level, pricing policy, opportunities for recreation and entertainment and favorable customer feedback. The award ceremony will be held on July 3 in the "Ocean World" entertainment park.

Among the winners of the award the following hotels were named:

- Gran Paradise Samana, Portillo Bahía Príncipe, Las Terrenas

- Hotetur Dominican Bay , Oasis Hamaca, Coral Costa Carib (Boca Chica and Juan Dolio)

- Viva Dominicus, Iberostar Dominicus, Dreams La Romana

- Moon Palace, Paradisus Palma Real, Princess Punta Cana, Bávaro Gran Iberostar (Bavaro, Punta Cana)

- Gran Almirante (Santiago)

The Caribbean Gold Coast Award is the highest quality mark, the most prestigious award in the field of tourism business in the Dominican Republic. According to the president of the award, journalist Leonardo Medrano, the award is given for the eighth year in a row to those hotels that make the most significant contribution to the development of the national tourism industry. Among the partners of the award are the National Brewery, Brugal & Compaña, Aerodom Siglo XXI, etc.
