Representatives of the Ministry of the Sea and representatives of 12 tourist and sightseeing ships recently signed an agreement according to which the Ministry allocates to them about 3, 3 million kuna of irrevocable state support intended for construction and reconstruction of ships . Virtually 2, 9 million kuna of subsidies for construction will be received by the owners of 10 companies , four of which are located in the city of Wing Jesenica, two of the Dry Stream, one of Babina Pola on the island of Mljet, Biograda, Solina and Virovititsy . About 340 million kuna will be paid by the company and from Povlya and the tourist company from Privlaka for the reconstruction of ships .

The project for supporting the development and renewal of the tourist fleet began to be implemented about 5 years ago, during which the state, with its financial support equal to 12 million kuna, participated in the construction of 33 and the renovation and reconstruction of 16 tourist ships . The aim of this project is to provide even greater safety at sea, protection of the environment and the Adriatic Sea, as well as the development of tourism and small business on the coast and on the sharp ovah . The Croatian tourist fleet consists of 405 registered ships owned by 336 small business owners who can take about 5 . 000 passengers .
