Europe has been experiencing anomalous heat for several weeks already. Columns of thermometers do not fall below 40 degrees, which is the cause of not only forest fires, but also problems with fresh water. This is especially acute in the southeast of Europe.
In Croatia, the Butingga reservoir has practically disappeared in the resort peninsula of Istria. In this regard, the local authorities took radical measures: they ordered the liquidation of souls on beaches and temporarily banned car washes and garden irrigation systems in order to save water.
In Serbia, the problem with fresh water is most acute in the area of Gorniy Milanovac to the south of Belgrade. The local river has practically dried up, and since last Wednesday the water in the city is served only a few hours a day. Kosovo also suffers from drought.
