"Terra Madre" (it's " Fair of Diversity ", a website) this year will delight its visitors from October 13 to 15. In the arcade courtyard of the Town Hall of Vienna these days a diverse range of regional delicacies will be presented, ranging from Vorarlberg mountain cheese to rare vegetables, from chocolate with rowan to exquisite Viennese wines. This year, for the first time, participants from neighboring countries such as Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland and Italy are expected to attend the festival.

All the products presented at the event will be carefully selected in accordance with the Slow Food quality criteria. In the "School of Taste" organized by the festival, visitors will be able not only to taste all kinds of products, but also to hear a lot of interesting things about the production and processing of food products directly from their producers.

"The Fair of Diversity" was first held in 2009, and its organizers are Vienna City Administration and Slow Food Wien Association . Slow Food Association stands for regional consumption, honest production and food of the best taste and highest quality . Slow-Food movement was founded in 1989 in Italy, Karl Petrini is today an international, ecological and gastronomic non-profit organization . The growing number of participants in the organization seeks to ensure that local traditions of food consumption are not forgotten, and new trends are based on knowing where food comes from and what it tastes like . "Terra Madre Austria" is a part of the world association Slow-Food .
