Routes

The main ski slopes of Mallnica are located on the tops of the Ankogel and Möltlaler Glacier mountains. The heights of the trails range from 1200 to 3000 meters above sea level, and the winter season opens here during the Christmas holidays and closes by Easter.

Ankogel has 5 red, 5 black and 4 blue tracks laid, on the slope of Melltaler-Gletcher - 6 red , 4 black and 9 blue trails . The total length of all routes on both slopes is more than 90 km . The longest descent (red - 3000 m) is on the slope of Ankogel and stretches from the top to the lower mountain lifting station . The lowest point is at the level of 2100 m near the Schwarz lift kopf on which you can reach the Weizseehaus summit . The lift on the slope of Ankogel is divided into 2 sections . In the first route it stretches from the starting point at an altitude of 1210 m to the 1950 m mark at Mittel station . The second route connects Mittel from Hannoverhaus (2640 m) .

During the years of its existence this ski resort managed to get on the list of "pearls" of Austria, and its slopes - to receive certificates of quality of the Carinthia region.

To the slope of Melltaller-Gletcher get on the ski-bass, and then on the six-seater lift Euseban, which arrives at a height of 2,800 m (here is the mountain restaurant Ice Lake). The way further upwards rises to a mark of 3122 m on the top of Sharek (Schareck). From the top of Hochwurtenspeicher to the Malnitz station, the Klühspies observation train follows.

The cross country country of the Malnica route is considered one of the best in Carinthia and has about 40 km of well-maintained roads running in the surrounding scenic valleys. In Mallnitz, there is also the Tauernbad spa complex, a snowpark, snowboarding and freestyle zones, and several toboggan runs. There is a Tauern pool in the town, and a skating rink is available near the pool until late in the evening (there is also a skating rink).

There are two ski schools (for adults and children) at the foot with a local hero Bobo - a thick penguin rolling on a short track on the tracks and entertaining beginner skiers (in fact, it is disguised in a fancy dress school coach).
