For those who are tired of stone antiquities and want a breath of air - the so-called Garden Museum (York Museum Gardens): a botanical garden in the center of York near the river Uz. It is located on the territory of the former abbey of the Holy Virgin Mary, occupies 4 hectares of land and can boast of the fact that its landscape was enclosed by the hands and skills of the famous architect Sir John Murray Naismith. It is open to visitors all year round, the entrance to the territory is free, but theatrical performances and concerts are not uncommon here at an additional cost.
