Starting from November 1, a tourist tax will be introduced in the territory of Catalonia, reports Euromag. It will apply to all tourists staying in the hotels of the region, except for children under 16 years old. The tax will be from 0, 5 to 2, 5 EUR per day, depending on the category of the hotel and the settlement.
For example, for a stay in a five-star hotel in Barcelona you will have to give 2, 5 EUR per day, in a four-star - 1, 25 EUR, in other hotels of the capital of the region - 0, 75 EUR. In the hotels of Catalonia, located in other cities, the cost of tax in a five-star hotel will be 2, 5 EUR, in a four-star - 1 EUR, in hotels of other categories - 0, 5 EUR per day.
