Belarusian railway station

Beginning April 1, a program of passenger screening will operate at 32 railway stations in Russia, RBC reports with reference to Kommersant. Inspection zones, like those of airports, will be equipped with X-ray conveyor systems for luggage, and some passengers may be subjected to selective screening.

In the RZD, in connection with the introduction of the screening program, a new position was introduced by the inspector for inspection. This cost the initiators of the innovation approximately 1, 5 billion rubles.

The advanced safety rules will start working only in the test mode, and any passenger will have the right to refuse inspection. However, the Ministry of Transport has already developed amendments that will allow Russian Railways to carry out a personal search of passengers and are currently under consideration by the government.
