The toy, the tiny streets of Prague are especially exaggerated in the Golden Street (Zlata Ulichka or Zlata Ulochka). It is located in Prague Castle, an analog of the Moscow Kremlin, an ancient fortress in the city center. Since it was a fortress, the entire Golden Lane is built-in residential houses in the arches of these fortress walls.

Bright, colorful, they make up a mosaic of the city filled with colors. Its name is from the jewelers who lived here, those whose work is associated with gold every day. The minters lived here, then they were just workers and artisans, and later, at the beginning of the 20th century, Franz Kafka lived in one of these miniature houses.

But do not let this diminutiveness confuse you: not everything is as small as the size of houses. In the Prague Castle is the residence of the President of the Czech Republic.

the life of craftsmen and masters of Golden Streets, recreated in detail ... interiors of housing and workshops ... a knight gallery ... a casemate with torture devices ... also, by the way, craft in the Middle Ages ... Spanish boots ... souvenirs for memory ... and one clarification! it is not at all necessary to buy a general ticket for 250 kroons ... at the beginning of the Golden Lane a small intersection area and a shop selling a ticket only to the street ... photo-fact is attached ... Prague between Christmas and New 2015 is a gift to itself on holiday ...

On Zlatu street in Prague just can not get, because the entrance there only by ticket, and you can not buy an entrance only to this landmark, you need to purchase a complex that ation ticket to visit the Prague Castle. Therefore, it is better to plan an excursion to the area for a whole day. The complex operates until six in the evening, and the ticket costs 250 CZK for a short trip, it is about ten euros. In the summer, you can come after seven in the evening - it's free, but the houses are all closed and dark, but ... Read full review

For the first time we heard about the Golden Lane from the guide during a walking tour of Prague Castle, the guide simply waved his hand towards the side street, Tipo visit it later independently. In their spare time they came to the entrance to this street, and the entrance is toll. Tickets were not very expensive, on the family comes out substantially and it was decided to save money. It's easy to do it - in the evening (approximately at 6 o'clock) the guard leaves and walk along the Golden street is free. It is a pity that around this time the houses are also closed .... If you are planning unusually and originally celebrate Christmas, then I advise you to go to Prague. After all, this is truly a fabulous city and here you can perfectly meet any holiday. This year in January, I spent 10 days in the beautiful country of the Czech Republic and visited many noteworthy places not only in Prague, but also Cesky Krumlov, but still there was a feeling that I did not see everything and not everywhere. I want to tell you about such an interesting place in the Czech capital, like Zlata Ulochka. She by the right ... Read the whole review

miniature beauty 04 November 2013

Visiting Zlataya Street, once a street of artisans and jewelers, and now become a museum, is included in the price of a ticket to Prague Castle. Exit the Castle, go down a little towards the Charles Bridge, turn left - and now you are already in place. Zlata is a street - it's not even a street, but rather a dead end. The entrance is only on one side, so you have to walk around in a circle. Here all the miniature - colorful small houses that have become souvenir shops, are crowded side by side. All of them ...
