The Fair Palace was built in 1925-1928. and was originally intended for the Ministry of the Czech Republic and other government bodies. But at the end of construction it was decided to give the building for the placement of various exhibitions. At the moment, the National Gallery is located in the Fair Palace
The National Gallery unites under its roof European and Czech masterpieces of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as contemporary art exhibitions (on the first and last floors) . Between them - permanent exposition: Frenchman Delacroix, Coro, Courbet, "Customs Officer" Rousseau, Pizarro, Monet, Renoir, Degas, Toulouse-Lautrec, Sera, Signac, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Cezanne, Marriage, Picasso, several sculptures of Rodin (third floor) . a separate exposition - Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, Miro, Lentulov, Moore and others . From Czechoslovakia 1900-1920-ies interesting: Filla, Teige, illustrator "Švejk" Josef Lado and Jan Zrzavi . Also you can get to the fourth floor to the Swabian and Czech modernists and to the second floor, with Toyen and other Czech artists who worked after 1930 g .
