The Arboretum Dominion was founded in 1889 .and covers an area of 26 hectares between Lake Doe, Rideau Canal and Prince of Wales Street . Dominion Observatory was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and served until 1970. It is a very beautiful red brick building with a round copper dome. Since the 2000's. the office of the committee on energy efficiency is located in the building
Walking through the territory of the experimental farm, you can see a lot of nice and original buildings, which are already 100 years old.
